Memorial service

Jani Leinonen’s world-famous Death of Capitalism gravestones are now shown in Showroom Helsinki. The exhibition will be open from 5th of October until 11th of November. Expo Chicago 2012

Jani Leinonen is presented by Galerie Gmurzynska at the International Exposition of Contemporary / Modern Art & Design in Chicago, USA. The Expo is held in Festival Hall at Navy Pier and will be open September 20-23.

ArtHelsinki

Jani Leinonen’s Memorial Service –installation will be shown at the ArtHelsinki contemporary art event in Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre 12.-16.9. Jani Leinonen’s Book No 1. which displays a wide range of his art will be released on the main stage of the fair on Wednesday 12.9. at 16.00. During the event the Finnish minister of culture, Paavo Arhinmäki, will be interviewing the artist. Leinonen will also be interviewed on the main stage on Saturday 15.9. at 13.30.

Boutique – Where art meets fashion

Jani Leinonen is one of the artists taking part in an exhibition called Boutique in Amos Anderson Art Museum in Helsinki, Finland. Boutique is a wide-ranging multi-art form exhibition that fuses fashion with art. The exhibition has been curated by Annamari Vänskä and created in the spirit of collaboration and community. Five teams – each consisting of an artist and a designer – have created joint works of art. The teams are Paola Suhonen–Mikko Ijäs, Katja Tukiainen–Samu-Jussi Koski, Tero Puha–Teemu Muurimäki, Salla Salin–Timo Rissanen and Minna Parikka–Jani Leinonen. Jani Leinonen in Alaston kriitikko

Jani Leinonen and his works were recently mentioned twice on a Finnish art blog Alaston kriitikko written by a Helsinki-based writer and art critic Otso Kantokorpi.
