In January 2011, as part of the underground food activist movement FLA (Food Liberation Army), several masked men entered a McDonald’s in Helsinki and kidnapped the beloved fast food chain mascot Ronald McDonald. The group released a video demanding McDonalds Corp. to answer eight questions pertaining to the ethics of their food production or else Ronald would be decapitated. Their demands never met, their promise was fulfilled and the results released to the media.
